Who this is for

For EHS, warehouse operations, and security teams evaluating forklift safety AI on existing cameras.

The buyer question

What proves a forklift safety AI system can reduce risk in a real facility?

Require path context

Forklift safety AI should understand vehicle path, pedestrian path, speed, and floor geometry. A generic person detector is not enough for a blind-corner or cross-aisle pilot.

Define the response signal

Before deployment, decide whether a high-risk event routes to a light stack, horn, VMS alarm, supervisor device, or review queue. The response signal should match the physical time window.

Review near misses weekly

The strongest pilots create a weekly record of repeat hot spots, shift patterns, warning timing, and operator acknowledgement.

How to use this with DHI

Use this page as a pre-pilot checklist. Pick one zone, one event type, one alert owner, and one review cadence. If the current cameras cannot support the workflow, fix the camera plan before expanding the deployment.
