Can AI safety detection run without uploading video to the cloud?

Yes. DHI decides on a node at your site, camera by camera, so raw video stays on-premises by default. Only structured events, approved clips and system telemetry leave the premises, and only when policy allows it. It reads the RTSP or ONVIF streams you already run, with no required cloud video streaming.

What can leave the site?

Raw camera feeds and full-resolution video stay on your premises by default. What can leave is structured safety events (timestamps, locations and pattern types), policy-approved clips, aggregated metrics and system health telemetry.

Can it be deployed entirely on-premises?

Yes. DHI can be deployed entirely on-premises with no required cloud video streaming, giving teams more control over sensitive footage and network architecture. Inference happens at the edge, and raw camera feeds and full-resolution video stay on the premises.

Does detection continue when the internet is down?

Inference and event detection happen locally, so the system can continue detecting events during internet interruptions. Remote management and external routing depend on the configured deployment.

How does it support a privacy review?

DHI keeps raw video on-premises by default and limits off-site movement to structured events and policy-approved clips. Security and privacy teams can review retention settings, encryption, access controls, and audit trails before rollout. Retention is set for each deployment, and key ownership is confirmed for each site in the deployment review.

Does DHI identify people by their faces?

Only if a site turns on face recognition, which is a separate use case. DHI's face-free re-identification follows a person by body and clothing, not by a face template, and faces are blurred in the footage shown on this site.

What does the transport and storage setup look like?
